Your makeup dissolving (SPF busting) first step: a silky-smooth balm that melts into the skin and takes all your makeup, sunscreen, sweat and grime with it. Skin-loving Safflower Oil and Camellia Seed Oil feature to give a thorough cleanse without disrupting the skin barrier.

Start by working a small amount into damp or dry skin with dry hands. Using a gentle pressure, let the oils emulsify and break down the makeup and gunk. Remove with warm water or a damp Muslin Cloth.
PRO TIP: For a deeper more luxe cleanse (or really stubborn long-wear makeup) massage into dry skin, with dry hands for at least 60 seconds. Remove with a Muslin Cloth.
SAFFLOWER OIL: An underrated oil that’s packed with linoleic acid, which helps to moisturise the skin whilst also working to prevent blackheads and whiteheads.
CAMELLIA SEED OIL: Packed with vitamins A through E, camellia seed oil has a range of benefits for the skin. It’s particularly effective at clearing out sebum without disrupting your skin barrier.
SHEA BUTTER: Rich in antioxidants, it’s well known for soothing inflammation and softening the skin, making it especially suited to use for sensitive skin.
VITAMIN E: A well-known and highly researched ingredient that helps to strengthen the skin barrier function and defend against the effects of environmental stressors. Can also help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
GLYCERIN: Naturally compatible with all skin types. Combats skin dryness, leaving the skin feeling softer and moisturised.

I have oily skin can I still use an oil cleanser?
Yes, you definitely can! A lot of people who have oily skin can benefit from using an oil-based cleanser, since they can help to remove the excess oil on the skin. Oil attracts oil, so the lush oils in GunkOff help to dissolve the sebum that can build up and harden in the pores (eww) to help prevent blackheads and whiteheads (yay!).
Will it leave an oily residue or film on my skin?
GunkOff Cleansing Balm or Melting Balm Cleanser is designed to emulsify once you add water, so it won’t leave a residue or film on the skin. You also only need a small amount to be effective, so if you’re ending up with a film you may be using way too much and not giving it the chance to fully break down.
